At The Aquinas Institute, academics are highly valued. Students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement are eligible for a number of scholarships. Scholarships are also awarded based on a student’s performance on the placement exam.
Academic Scholarships for High School Students Entering Aquinas at Grade 9 The Aquinas Principal’s Award for Academic Excellence
- Any new student entering 9th grade at Aquinas with an average of 92 in his/her previous year’s core courses (English, social studies, math, science and religion, if applicable) will receive a $1,000 scholarship for his/her first year at Aquinas. AQMS 8th graders moving up to 9th grade are not eligible for this scholarship, please see Class Rank (High School).

- $2,000 – Class rank #1
- $1,000 – Class rank #2-5
- $750 – Class rank #6-10
- $500 – Class rank #11 – up to top 10% of returning class
9th Grade Placement Exam ScholarshipsThe Kenneth P. Schleich ’46 Placement Exam Award
- All 9th grade test takers, including current AQ 8th graders are eligible
- Students with the top 5 scores on this exam receive a one-time $1,000 scholarship
